We’re very proudly partnering with artists Hōhepa Waitoa & Mahi Mahi Productions and Karnan Saba, to share with you two very special Return Digital Seasons of TE RONGOMAIWHITI and RECLAMATION.

Based in Ōtautahi, Christchurch, Hōhepa & Mahi Mahi Productions share their first Kia Mau Festival season with audiences in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington in 2021. Created, written and performed in te reo Māori, students from Ōtautahi tell this very special story.

Acclaimed composer, musician and music producer, Karnan Saba, creates a unique Kia Mau Festival experience. A sonic production, featuring documentary-style storytelling that traverses generations of lived experience.

Both TE RONGOMAIWHITI and RECLAMATION were presented as part of Kia Mau Festival 2021 in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington.
